About Dr. Noori Shah

Dr. Noori, a compassionate physician hailing from the village of Karjanha in Siraha District, Madhesh Pradesh, Nepal, has pursued a remarkable academic journey. Her educational path began with a full scholarship for schooling up to the 10th grade in Janakpur. She continued her studies at the United Academy of Kathmandu, where she completed her +2 education. In 2011, Dr. Noori earned a scholarship for MBBS studies in Moscow, Russia, at People’s Friendship University, where she studied in Russian.
Throughout her academic career, Dr. Noori consistently excelled, earning top honors in both her MBBS program and Russian language studies. Not only was she the class topper, but she also actively participated in extracurricular activities such as dancing, hand art, and public speaking. Dr. Noori’s exceptional communication skills led her to teach English language classes to fellow students during her time in Russia.
After completing her MBBS, Dr. Noori gained valuable experience as a Medical Officer at Nepal Mediciti Hospital, where she honed her skills in emergency management over six months. Subsequently, she joined Phul Kumari Mahato Memorial Hospital (PKMMH) in Siraha, Karjanha, where her exposure to a diverse range of cases, including gynecological cases, sparked her interest in obstetrics and gynecology. This experience prompted her to envision her career in gynecology.
In October 2021, Dr. Noori returned to Kathmandu and joined Kist Medical College as a Medical Officer, where she worked closely with the emergency department team and managed patients in the ICU. After six months at Kist Medical College, she dedicated herself to preparing for her master’s studies at the HOPE library. Her hard work paid off when she achieved an impressive rank of 312 in the MDMS exam conducted by the Medical Education Commission (MEC).
Dr. Noori was subsequently allotted a place to study Obstetrics & Gynecology at Paropakar Maternity & Women’s Hospital (PMWH) under the National Academy for Medical Education (NAMS). Currently, she is pursuing her career in gynecology at NAMS under the esteemed guidance of Dr. Shree Prasad, Dr. Meena, Dr. Shanti, Dr. Sandesh, Dr. Madhu, Dr. Jwala, Dr. Sapna, and others.
